Are You Living Up To Your Potential
Many people have great ideas about what they should be doing with their lives.
Many are trapped in jobs they don’t necessarily like because they feel as though that’s what they need to do to earn a living. And yes, I see that. I see the need to earn an income to provide for your family.
But what, as an entreprenuer, don’t see, is why you would accept anything less than your true potential.
“I’d be more frightened by not using whatever abilities I’d been given. I’d be more frightened by procrastination and laziness.” – Denzel Washington
We are each giving a unique set of abilities. Each of us have different passions, dreams, goals, and things we want to accomplish in this life before we pass on to whatever comes after this.
Many have hopes and dreams to be a great actor like Denzel.
Others just want to provide a comfortable living for their family and retire with a little money to do nice things and travel a bit.
Whatever it is that you have inside of you, it’s there for a divine reason.
You see, I believe that each and everyone of us is interconnected by energy.
And when you have that desire in your heart. When it’s in your mind and in your soul, I feel like it has been placed there for the betterment of the human race.
I understand how some can fear their destiny.
I struggled with this for years.
I feared what my friends and family where going to think of me if I pursued my destiny (which I believe is to generate wealth to benefit all of man.). Where I’m from, we were always taught negative things about money. I had a mental block about making lots of money because I was told things like :
- Money is the root of all evil.
- To become wealthy, you have to do things that are wrong
- Money won’t buy happiness
- Money isn’t everything
I’m sure you’ve probably had this drilled into your head time and time again from well meaning family members. I don’t think most of the realize what they are actually doing when they tell you things like this.
You see, when it comes to the law of attraction, statements like this actually create a barrier, a “block”. When you hear and say things like this to yourself, the universe hears “Money isn’t everything to this person, so I’m not going to bless them with any” or “Money doesn’t give them any happiness, so I’m not going to make them a conduit for money because it won’t make them happy”.
Don’t get all bent out of shape about this. Just change the self talk and the way that you are framing your statements.
Often times the way we phrase out statements effects the outcome.
Take this statement (excuse) that I hear on a daily basis:
“I can’t afford that. I have no money to invest in a coach/ mentor.”
That one statement kills more people’s growth than I care to count.
Instead, listen to this statement.
“I don’t have that money currently, but I’m thinking of ways I can come up with it. I know that investing in coaches and mentors is paramount to my growth as an entrepreneur and I will come up with the money”
Do you see the difference in those two statements?
The first statement is coming from a place of lack and fear.
The second statement is coming from a place of abundance and optimism.
Here is what I want you to do if you find that you are making statements like these are blocking your true potential and stopping the manifestations in your own life.
Write down statements you repeat regularly. Whether they be aloud, or in your thoughts, write them down. This will give you a clear understanding of the things that you say.
Analyze the statements.
Are they coming from a place of lack and fear? Or are they statements made from abundance and optimism?
Re frame the phrases that are negative. State them in a much more positive way, that is going to manifest positive things. Replace phrases of “I cant” “I wont” or “I’m not” into the positives of “I am” and “I will”
Those are just three things that you can do to live to your potential by re framing the things you say in a more positive way.
